Ganja La Pass Trek: Langtang Region of Nepal
Ganja La Pass Trek can be regarded as a challenging trek in the Langtang region of Nepal in comparison to the other trekking packages to the same region. It takes you along the magnificent valley of Langtang and lets you rejoice in the natural elegance that the wild mountains and glaciers possess.
Furthermore, it takes you to Ganjala pass, which is the highest (5,122 meters) and the most rewarding point of this trekking journey. Ascending to the pass is quite challenging; therefore, if you seek adventure, a bit more than just a normal trek, then the Langtang valley with Ganja La pass Trek is probably the one for you! As you cross the pass, you will be rewarded with the splendid views of Langtang Lirung and other neighbouring peaks.
The trail we follow for the Ganja La Pass Trek
Your journey starts from Syabrubensi. It is a small village in the Langtang region, which can be reached after around five to six hours' drive from Kathmandu city. From the village, we pass some villages and walk through dense forests of oak, pine, and rhododendron to Lama Hotel. We continue our trek through a forested area until Langtang village. As we march towards the village, the views of the mountains come to our sight.
Admiring the glory of mountains and wild landscape, we spend a day exploring the Langtang village. We visit Kyangjin Gompa and walk up to the Tserko Ri for stunning views of the valley along with the mountains surrounding it. Further, we head towards Ganja La Phedi and cross the pass, which is a challenging task of the trek. Though challenging, the views from the pass are worth it. Leaving the pass, we descend through pastures and pass villages like Tarke Gyang and Sermathang to Melamchi Pul bazaar.
